Parenting has taken on new challenges in the past few months, with schools closing, parents working from home and families learning to do life together a little differently. Our CEO Christopher’s wife, Klair Van Slyke, has launched a YouTube channel called “Learning With Love” to address those challenges.

Learning With Love is about sharing practical and actionable parenting tips that are well-researched and driven by love. Klair and Christopher homeschooled their four young children even before all this COVID-19 chaos caused so many of us to start doing it. Klair shares tips that have worked for their family, as well as dozens of specific resources. She recognizes when you’re trying to solve a problem in the family or with teaching your children, the endless options are overwhelming. She breaks down the resources into the ones that are the best, most-researched, and tried and true for their family.

The Van Slyke approach to parenting, and learning, is about leveraging modern technology efficiently, leaving more time for exploring the outdoors and interacting with people in the community. They believe it’s those unstructured moments of childhood that mean the most.

Klair’s videos touch on a wide variety of common parenting questions and struggles, beyond the academic. She also shares some tips about potty training, among other topics.
